Class rules and regulations

Class Rules and Safety Protocols:
 

We kindly request that students arrive promptly for class. Please note that entering the class more than 5 minutes late is not permitted, (NO EXCEPTIONS) as it can be disruptive and disrespectful to both the instructor and fellow classmates. We appreciate your cooperation in adhering to this policy. In the event that you are unable to attend a class, please be aware that make-up classes will be offered at the end of the session. Thank you for your understanding and commitment to punctuality.

To ensure a safe and productive learning environment, it is important to discuss and review the following rules with your children before class. By working together and fostering parental cooperation, we can prioritize safety. It is beneficial for children to hear these rules from you as their parent, as well as from me as their teacher, as it emphasizes their significance and minimizes the need for repetitive reminders.

1) Swinging on the silks is strictly prohibited. The silks are not designed for back and forth swinging, as it can compromise the rigging and pose a danger to both the individual swinging and others nearby. Spinning on the silks, however, is acceptable.

2) Aerialists must remain within their designated space and refrain from running off into other areas of the gym. This ensures that other individuals practicing in the gym are not disturbed.

3) Please refrain from providing parental instruction during class. This allows me, as the teacher, to effectively deliver the curriculum and maintain a consistent learning experience for all students.

4) It is important to understand that if a particular skill or drop is not yet part of the curriculum, repeated requests to learn it will not change the answer. In Levels 1 and 2, we focus on building a strong foundation. While suggestions are welcome in higher levels, it is important to respect the curriculum in place.

5) Please be open to sharing a silk if necessary. Cooperation and flexibility in this regard will contribute to a positive and inclusive class environment.

6) Kindly refrain from interrupting the teacher when they are working with another student. Waiting for your turn ensures that each student receives the attention they need and deserve.

7) Excessive screaming is not permitted during class. Maintaining a calm and focused atmosphere benefits everyone's learning experience.

8) Parents are kindly requested to observe from the designated seating area upstairs, rather than being present in the gym area. This arrangement allows for a better flow of instruction and ensures the safety and concentration of all participants.

9) Being more than 5 minutes late to class will result in the student not being permitted to enter class.
